Ministers
Dr. Edwin Aluzas was ordained as a Methodist minister in Ohio (1959). He has served churches in Ohio and California, including the Claremont Presbyterian Church (as Minister of Pastoral Care and Counseling), Unity Church of Truth, Pomona, CA (as interim four and a half years), and Westside Unity Church (as interim for one year). For ten years he was on staff at the Inland Hospice Association (Claremont). In addition, Ed has been a state licensed Marriage, Family Therapist for 24 years. He has been married for 49 years to Gloria, who is an art instructor for children and who is a Board Member and Choir Director at the Unity Church in Pomona. Ed and Gloria have three adult children (Annette, Kurt, and Jonathan), and one (darling!) granddaughter (Jillian). Ed loves to read (mystery stories, Civil War history, biographies, books on spirituality, etc.) He and Gloria enjoy walking, working out once a week at their son's gym in Encino, traveling, being with friends, and keeping up on environmental concerns and social justice issues. Gloria is an avid gardener! Some day Ed hopes to author several books and to learn how to play the guitar!
