Ministers
Rev. J. Brent Fletcher grew up in the 1960's in rural Southern Georgia. It was during this time and in this particular place that Rev. Fletcher learned the importance of community to the human spirit. Being raised in a Southern Baptist community Rev. Fletcher also saw how important it is for all to feel connected to something larger than ourselves. In 1987, on a trip to San Francisco, Rev. Fletcher attended his first Unity Church service. In that service he saw and experienced what happens when community, offered without conditions, labels, or limits, comes together with an experience of feeling connected to something greater than the individual. The result was a true worship experience and Rev. Fletcher began to make the Unity principles as part of his life. That journey led him to Unity Village in 1988. He graduated from Unity School for Religious Studies and was ordained by the Association of Unity Churches in 1994. He has served Unity ministeries in Montgomery, Alabama, Grandview Missouri, and Northridge, Californina.
Rev. Fletcher's vision for ministery is based on his belief that every person is of sacred worth, a spiritual being having a human experience. He is motivated to help people experience their sacred worth and to fully express their inherent divinity so that we all will make a positive difference in the world.
